This evening Mark qualified 6th fastest with a lap of 19.522 which put him in the fast dash. Mark started on the pole for the fast dash and pulled away to a 5 car length lead by lap 3. Mark was well on his way to winning the dash when on the last lap after the start/finish line Mark was called clear by his spotter when Rod Wheeler was on the inside, this sent both cars spinning and both going to the back. At the checkered flag Mark came across the line in 5th place. In the feature event Mark lined up 5th (inside row 3) and was riding comfortably until there was contact made with another car which affected the car as Mark said it felt like something was dragging. Mark made a jump to the outside to make a pass and it didn't work out as he was freight trained all the way to the back of the field. After running a few more laps, Mark pulled in because the car wasn't right as something was broke from the contact.
