Thursday August 26th

The evening started out pretty good and got even better as the night went on. In qualifying Mark turned a 19.839 which was 9th fastest which put him in the fast heat. The line up for the fast heat placed Mark 6th (outside row 3) and he finished the race in 5th place. The feature line up had Mark in the 7th place (inside row 4) and he was able to quickly move to the front. The car was right on and very strong through the whole race, Mark was trying to get a run on the 2nd place car, but had Rod Wheeler hot on his tail. After a red flag came out the race was restarted and Mark held on for a 3rd place finish. There is one more week left.
