This evening Mark qualified 2nd fastest this evening with a lap of 19.510. In the fast heat race Mark lined up 7th (inside row 4) and was able to advance one position before the checkers flew. This evening was a 50 lap feature event which gave Mark more time to move up from midpack. Mark lined up 13th (inside row 7) and was making a strong run on the outside moving toward the front. Around 13th laps into the race, the car went up in smoke. Motor problems prevented the team from coming back out, it is believed the motor dropped a valve. The team has their work cut out for them if they plan to run the White race.
