June 5th, 2003 Racing

Thursday Night means race night and there has been some great racing! Mark qualifed 4th fastest this evening putting him once again in the fast dash. Mark started 3rd in the dash (inside row 2), as the green flag came out the front row was side by side for all 6 laps and gave little room for anyone to advance, Mark came home 3rd. In the feature event Mark started 10th (outside row 5) and moving toward the front, although once again the traffic was heavy in the feature. Mark was able to advance a couple positions, but the car did not seem to be handeling as well as it has in weeks past, the car seemed to be squeling the tires heading through the corners. After a caution came out the field was tightened up, but ran out of laps. We are still 3rd in points and it looks to be a 3 car battle for the top spot.
