Sunday May 18th

Under sunny skies the Jim Pagel Memorial race was run which opened up the Midwest Allstar Series. There was a special bonus to qualify in the top 6, as you had the chance at winning 600 bucks. Mark qualified in the top 6 and was really gunning for the win. Mark started 3rd row on the outside and was moving forward fast, half way through Mark was up to 4th place and was working on 3rd place, but ran out of time. In the feature event Mark started mid pack and moved right along on the outside passing cars at a quick pace. Mark was up to 5th place and running for 4th place. Mark was running in 3rd place when he got spun out and had to head to the back. Mark once again worked his way to the front and was in the top 10 when he ran out of gas. There were 37 laps that were run under caution that didn't count. The team will regroup and be back on Thursday at WIR.
