July 24th, 2003 Racing

After having nothing but strong runs the last week, tonight went off just as smooth at Wisconsin International Raceway for Thursday Night Thunder. Mark set fast time with a lap of 19.652 which put him in the back of the fast dash. Mark moved up through traffic in the fast dash and was up to 3rd place when he came off turn 2 he thought he lost the engine. After checking the car out, a broken bracket on the exhaust was found. Mark lined up 14th (outside row 7) in the feature event and moved through the field on the inside lane as traffic was really heavy tonight. Mark broke through and got up into 6th place while fighting a loose race car. Mark knew the car was loose and instead of pushing the issue he rode in 6th place. The results have been very strong from the team the last 2 weeks.

Mark will be running at Norway for the state line challenge tomorrow night, then he will head to I-94 Raceway in Minnesota for the MARS race.
