Thursday May 16th

Tonight was the 3rd week of racing at WIR for the Thursday Night Thunder. Heading into the night Mark was 2nd in points 3 behind Brad Mueller. Mark qualified 3rd fastest with a 19.696 which would put him on the ouside of the second row in the dash. Once the green flag fell in the dash Mark wasn't able to move forward as the inside was moving, by the time Mark got the inside the race was near complete and Mark just pulled in. In the feature Mark started 12th (outside of row 6), Mark moved his way forward which wasn't to easy tonight. Mark had some guys to pass that wouldn't pick a lane, seemed every time Mark had a run he would have to let off going into the corner because they were chopping. At one point in the race Mark had a run going down the backstraight and had a run on this car and the guy moved down. Mark let off and let the guy safe it as Mark doesn't spin people out. There was then a caution for a lengthy clean up, after the green came back out Mark was able to climb up to 7th place, but ran out of laps to move up any further. Mark is still second in points, but lost a little ground on the leader. Keep up the good work Mark and crew!
