Thursday August 29th

Last Thursday there was water in the oil after the races, once back at the shop the motor was pulled and brought to the engine builder. A cracked block was found and a couple things were done to try and fix it. The motor was brought back and put in the car, only to fire it up and find it leaking again. Plans at that time were to not run this evening, but thanks to Eddie Muenster he borrowed Mark a motor to run for the night. THANKS EDDIE!!! Mark turned a first lap of 20.2 which wouldn't make the feature, the second lap was a 19 second lap and put him in the dash. Mark started on the pole of the dash and never looked back as he took the dash win. In the feature Mark started mid pack and was running carefully when the motor popped down the backstraight and Mark parked it in turn 4. That motor broke also, not the way you want to end the season. There was alot of work that was done during the week that most don't realize. We had a shot at second place in points, but were able to settle for 3rd place after the motor problems.

With the motor broke, Schroeder Motorsports 2002 season has come to an end. We will see you next year!
