Saturday June 15th

This was to be the 3rd race in a row for Schroeder Motorsports, but ther has been rainouts for the first two nights. Tonight was the Red Race, the first leg of the 3 race series. We qualified 5th with a time of 19.763. Mark started 5th in the first 50 lapper and quickly moved up to 2nd place. He rode there behind Lowell Bennett for much of the race. Mark stated the handling of the car had gone away. Mark would drive hard to keep the 10th place and would do so as the checkers fell. Changes were made to the car and Mark stated on the radio "we have some changes to make to the car during the week, but lets bring it home in one piece." For the second 50 Mark started in 9th place, they took the green flag and the very next lap coming out of turn 4, one car got crossed up. This caused everyone to slow down which made for a pile up. Mark received enough damage to have to park the car for the rest of the night. At first thoughts the car looked pretty bad, but after looking at the car the major amount of damage was body damage. The car needs a new radiator, new bumper, new right and left fenders, and new hood.
