Now that the Norway Speedway weekly racing has started Mark is able to defend his 2000 Championship. Mark got back to his usual racing at Norway by winning his first race of 2001 at Norway. Mark ran side by side for the lead in the dash and at the checkers won by inches!!! Mark would start in the back of the feature and work his way through traffic. At the checkers Mark took 3rd place!

Points: 4th - 9 points out of first
