September 2nd Racing

September 2nd, 2000 - Mark headed to Norway to keep the points lead. All he had to do was qualify fast enough to make the feature and finish it to win the the championship. Well he did it!!! Mark is the 2000 Norway Late Model Champion. Mark was looking to close the 2000 season with a feature win. It looked like it was going to happen, Mark was running in second place and took the lead on lap 20. Just as Mark got the lead and got into the corner he was hit from behind and spun out. He would be sent to the rear because of the "contact rule." Mark fought back hard with 15 lap left but was able to get 6th place.
