August 24th Racing

August 24th, 2000 - Mark qualified with a 19.832 which was 6th fastest. Mark's first lap was faster than his second qualifying lap. He started on the pole of the dash and took the lead and held it until he was passed by Lowell Bennett. Mark started on the inside of row 4 for the feature. Mark was running right about where he started. On lap 5 there was a wreck coming out of turn 4 that happened right in front of Mark. Mark was able to miss it but would go on to finish 14th. Not sure what the problem was in the feature. Mark made the race of champions race based on his points. He would go on to finish a strong 4th in the race of champions.
