August 10th Racing

August 10th, 2000 - After a week ago when Mark had to race his way into the feature this week he made the feature on his qualifying time. Mark turned a lap of 19.904 which was 9th fastest. Mark started 5th in the fast heat and quickly moved through traffic. Mark would go on to WIN his heat race!!! The outside pole for the feature was were Mark was lined up. At the green Mark would take the lead until lap 3 when Jim Duchow went outside and they ran side by side. Duchow couldn't make it work on the outside and moved to the inside. He would go on to pass Mark. Mark ran in the top 5 for the rest of the feature but at the checkers he was 6th.
