July 22nd Racing

July 22nd, 2000 - Mark runs Norway on Friday nights but since there was a mars event tonight they didn't run Friday night. Mark had an advantage going into the race as he had a car setup for Norway already, but the mars series runs a different tire than Norway does weekly. It was a 100 lap event, Mark worked his way through the field and was up to 4th with the second and final caution came out on lap 58. On lap 69 Mark took over 3rd place and 17 laps later Mark went on the outside and took 2nd place . With 14 laps left in the race Mark was gaining on the leader but would run out of laps and would finish 2nd at the checkers!
