June 29th, 2000 - Qualified with a time of 19.777 which was 10th fastest. It took a 19 second lap to make the feature. Mark started on the pole for the feature. At the green Mark ran side by side with John Sturm. Mark would pull away from him and lead the first 8 laps. Baldry would pass Mark but the caution would come out, allowing Mark the lead back. At the green Mark was passed by a few cars, once he was on the back straightaway he dove for the apron. Something broke on the front of the car and also was a fire under the hood. What looked like a good night ended short. Mark and crew keep working on the car and have not given up!
