June 9th Racing

June 9th, 2000 - The first round of the State Line Challenge. Mark started midpack in the feature but was able to quickly move to the front. By lap 33 Mark was challenging for 3rd place. A caution would come out for a 7 car pile up. The race was restarted with 14 laps to go but caution would come out that lap. On the restart Mark tried extra hard to make the pass for the lead with 15 laps to go. Mark got a little wide and got the right side tires in the dirt which caused the car to wingle. Mark had to get out of the gas to get it straightened out and slid back to 8th place. At the checkers Mark would end up in 8th place. Friday June 23rd there is no racing for the late models.

Points - 1st place with 272 points only 1 point in the lead!
