August 5th Racing

August 5th, 1999 - Mark was going to test with the Remax car last weekend but while working on the other cars he never made it. He needed some time on the track with the Remax car so nothing better then racing with it. Mark brought the Remax car tonight to see how that will run for the race Tuesday. He turned in a lap of 20.071 which was good enough for 13th fastest. Man some of these car are getting to fast. You almost have to hit the 19's to make the dash now. Since Mark missed the dash he had to run heat 4 in which he would take a 3rd place finish in. I wasn't there tonight so I don't know what happened in the feature because Mark had a 15th place finish. Even after bringing his Remax car he stayed 7th in points. The points chase is getting close with the top 7 just 83 points apart.
