FIRST WIN OF 99! But not the race we wanted to win

August 1st, 1999 - Mark took the trip to Plover for the MARS race. Mark didn't have a very good qualifying time. He had to run the last chance race in which he took 9th place in. He would then have to run the consi which he won. By winning the consi the only way to make the feature if for some reason a car that is in the feature can't make it then Mark would join the feature. From the reports I have he didn't get a chance to run the feature.
