July 1st Racing

July 1st, 1999 - Mark didn't run to many hot laps during the practice session so he must have liked the setup of the car. During qualifying Mark would turn a time of 19.919 which would be good enough for 5th fastest. For the dash Mark would go on to finish a strong third place. Tonight it was a special 50 lap feature. Mark always does better on extended lap races. mark was on the outside and it was the fast line, but the car just seemed to be falling back. During the first caution Mark was towards the back of the field. He would only be able to grab a few positions but with 3 laps to go Mark pulled the car in the pits. On the scanner Mark said " I have to pull in something is broke." That would put Mark to a 18th place finish in the feature. Must have been the full moon tonight. Mark still hung on to fourth in points which is a good thing.

Dash - 3rd
Feature - 18th
Points - 4th place.
