After running a limited schedule in 2007, Conrad Racing is excited to be back running the full FRRC schedule for 2008. The Limited Late Model division has become more competitive than ever. This season has found Brandon consistently qualifying in the top 6, winning a Dash and his first Feature! Look for Brandon to finish strong in the Limited Late Model division at WIR!. ABOUT THE DRIVER Although this will is his fifth year of racing, Brandon became involved with racing several years ago. Brandon always had an interest in racing. An introduction to Rod Wheeler by Brandon's high school shop teacher landed him a spot on Rod's pit crew. He was a member of the crew all through high school. While he enjoyed being on the pit crew, Brandon wanted to get behind the wheel himself. An opportunity to purchase a used car presented itself and Conrad Racing was born. With a small crew, Brandon put the car together to compete in the Limited Late Model series at WIR. 2004 was his rookie season and was a struggle. Every week was a challenge and a learning experience. By the end of the season the driver and the team were becoming competitive and were in the running for the rookie of the year. Unfortunately a mistake during the last race of that season cost the team that title. An awesome run at the Limited Late Model State Championship was a great ending to Brandon's rookie season giving them momentum going into the off season. |
